Understanding the Process to Start ABA

Step 1: Complete CLIENT INTAKE FORM

Step 2: Email front and back of insurance card and complete psychological evaluation from diagnosing provider to makiah@pathwaysbehavioralhealth.org

Step 3: Wait 24-48 hours for a Pathways staff member to reach out to you via email/text/call. 

Step 4: Call your insurance company and confirm ABA is covered under your plan and that Pathways Behavioral Health is in network. 

Step 5: Wait for an authorization. 

Step 6: Schedule a tour. 

Step 7: Child/client will be assessed by our BCBA (1-2 hours)

Step 8: Wait for insurance to review the submitted PLAN OF CARE and authorize hours for ABA services. 

Step 9: Begin ABA Services

*It is important to know this process can take 30-90 days from step 1-step 9.
